Nestled amidst the picturesque landscape of Uttarakhand, Kainchi Dham stands as a spiritual sanctuary and a haven of tranquillity
On May 25, 1962, while returning to Nainital from Ranikhet, Maharaj Ji who was accompanied by Shri Tularaam Sah and Shri Siddhi Ma, halted at Kainchi village and after alighting from the car called for Shri Purnanand Tiwari. It was during his conversation with Maharaj Ji that Mr Tiwari recalled having met Maharaj Ji nearly twenty years ago. It so happened that in 1942, after fetching some lawsuit papers from Nainital Court, Shri Purnanand Tiwari, in the absence of any transport was walking back to his village, Kainchi, from Nainital. Upon reaching the place called Khufia Daandh, rumoured to be infested by ghosts, a fearful Tiwari Ji saw a bulky body wrapped in a blanket lying on the parapet. He got scared. However, when the person lying on the parapet called Tiwari Ji by his name and asked him as to why he was walking, he felt some sense of relief.

The Ashram area has extremely limited space with very few rooms that are primarily for the dwelling of priests, workers, and staff of the Ashram. The Trust is exploring viable options of some place outside the premises for the stay of devotees. The same would be intimated via this website in due course.
